A DAY OF ART AND FOOD!

Greetings!

I am back with a post about a fun day I spent in Logan Square, Chicago. There are so many places to see and discover in the city and for me art and food is a part of that!
The plan was to go to this gallery in Logan Square called Galerie F. They specialize in silkscreen gig posters, art prints and tons of street art but what drew me in was the Brian Ewing,”Scream With Me” exhibit. Scream With Me is a collection of new work by Ewing focusing on the horror genre.I love art and the city has so many places go and discover fun pieces and work. Most of these exhibits are free which is great if you are looking for a artsy activity and don't want to break the bank. I love museums but small galleries are such a gem and always have unique artwork!
The gallery is gorgeous. Its small but it has a ton of unique prints and artwork that you can also buy. You can spend hours just looking at everything which is what I was doing! I ended up picking a funny print by Johnny Sampson called Chicago- A love story. I highly recommend checking this little gallery out! I loved it and its perfect if you are around the area.
I am obsessed with Pho especially in the wintertime and I was craving something warm and soupy which is why we went to Trike Thai noodles & sushi. It was close to the gallery which was perfect!
I ended up getting the chicken noodle soup/pho, which was heavenly. It was a mix of egg noodles with marinated chicken, shiitake, bean sprouts, Chinese broccoli, fried garlic, green onion and cilantro in homemade chicken broth(mouthwatering?)We also ordered some calamari with honey wasabi. The honey wasabi sauce was something I haven’t ever had before and went perfect with the calamari. I got a Thai iced tea, which was interesting. It was milky but had a sweet tea flavor, pretty different!
I love art and food and had to share this day with all of you! Hope you enjoyed and you can check out the Gallery here.
