BRAND REVIEW: COLOURPOP!

Greetings my loves!

I know it has been a while since I posted but life happens and I am excited to bring back some new fun content. I wanted to share a review of Colourpop beauty products that I have been using for a while now.

Colourpop is an indie online brand based out of California with a ton of affordable products. They are always launching amazing beauty products at very inexpensive prices for everyone. They are also cruelty-free which is always a plus! They have been around for a while now but I wanted to share my thoughts.

Colourpop Super Shock Shadows:
After hearing so much about how different the formula of these shadows was to any other, I had to give them a try. They have a very formula to them that is unlike any other shadow I have ever tried. I would best define them as a cream to powder eyeshadow that is soft and thin at the touch like a sponge. They are extremely pigmented and have amazing lasting power. I was so impressed with the metallic and ultra metallic shadows that really pop all your eye looks. You can apply these with a brush, but I prefer my fingers because of the texture. I press them onto the eyelids for the most pigment. It is important to close the lids airtight of these shadows because they can dry out very quickly. I also recommend storing them properly because they smash easily which is the only downside. These are just $5 a shadow for 2.1g (0.074oz). These shadows have reached to one of my all time favorites and I highly recommend these. I have the colors, Rex, Truth, Nillionaire, So Quiche, LALA, Cricket, Mittens, and Truth. I love all of these colors!

Colourpop Yes Please! Pressed Eyeshadow Palette:
I have a ton of pressed eyeshadows but when I saw this palette, I needed it immediately. I like warm eyeshadows and this was a perfect palette to add to my collection. I have a full review of this palette on my blog here where I talk about every detail on this product. I find these shadows as pigmented, buttery and easy to blend as any other high-end shadows. They have a huge variety too and if you are on a budget, these shadows are going to be the best for you. They have a ton of different finishes too that you can pick from.

Colourpop Super Shock Cheek Highlighter:
These are one of my favorite products from Colourpop and overall one of my all-time favorite highlighters. Again, these are unlike any other product I own with the same spongy puddy texture like the shadows with a ton of pigment. These are blinding highlighters that give you such a high shine on the cheekbones. It really helps give you that fresh glow and if you build it up it can give you that on fleek highlight effect. Flexitarian is a pigmented full coverage highlighter that is a pearly champagne color. I like to use my fingertips and a beauty blender with this product for the intense glow! The price point on this is perfect to for just $8. I AM OBSESSED!

Colourpop Cheek Blushes:
I am always looking for new blushes and thought I would add one to my order to try out. I am pretty basic when it comes to blushes. I like my pinky peachy colors and I always look for something that lasts longer. These are very pigment and last all day. Between the Sheets is a mauve beige pink that would flatter all skin types. It has a matte creme to a powder finish. They are only $8!

Colourpop Lippie Stix:
I love my liquid lipsticks but I have my days where I want some clean matte lipsticks that last long and are super pigmented. These lipsticks are matte and very comfortable to wear. They are very creamy and super moisturizing. They don't last on me all day but compared to a lot of my other lipsticks, the lasting power isn't the worst. I find the darker colors end up being very dry on the lips so I would moisturize before I use them. I actually bought a full set to try a few shades which are perfect if you like nudes, pinks, and dark colors so I recommend doing that.

Colourpop Ultra Matte Liquid Lipstick:
Even though these are one of their bestsellers, I do think these liquid lipsticks dry out my lips super fast. They are long-lasting and more affordable than other liquid lipsticks out there but if you cannot stand the dry feeling on your lips, these may not be for you. They have a thin opaque pigmented texture and are not patchy at all. You want to make sure you apply a waxy balm before because these can flake easily. I wouldn't reapply once applied.

Colourpop Crystal Collection Setting Spray and Liquid Highlighter
I am a spray junkie!! I love trying new ones whether it is to hydrate my skin or set my makeup. The Aquamarine Spray is supposed to calm the skin and provide long-lasting wear for your makeup. It contains Aquamarine crystal giving you a fresh dewy look. I do like this spray to set my makeup but I don't see a difference in the longevity. I also find the sprayer to be too aggressive and not a pure mist. I would skip this one. However, the liquid Rose Quartz Highlighter is gorgeous on the skin. I like to mix it in with my foundations for a more glowy look. This is a pearly opalescent color that is just gorgeous on any skin tone.

Have you tried Colourpop and what are your favorite products from them?

Until next time..

Miss Singh
